			<title>People of Earth! Don't Panic</title>

			<description>
				Do you know the answer to life, the universe and everything? Can you make a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster? Do you know where your towel is?

If this makes sense then you must be aware of the science fiction comedy phenomenon Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. If not then where have you been for the past 30 years?

To mark the three decades since Douglas Adams' idea first came to life as a BBC Radio 4 series, a new book is being released that continues the adventures of Arthur Dent.

The book - 'And Another Thing...' - was written by the best-selling author Eoin Colfer, and will be the first instalment in over seventeen years. It has received support from Jane Belson, the widow of the series' creator Douglas Adams, and is available to buy from Monday 12th October. Colfer is best known for his Artemis Fowl series, which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

It's come a long way from the drunken musings of Adams, who claimed he was lying in a field in Austria in the early 1970s gazing up at the stars when he thought it would be a good idea for someone to write a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. The original radio series developed into a multi media phenomenon, which spawned books, records, a TV series, comic books, computer games, a stage show and in 2005 a Hollywood movie.

Colfer will be touring around the UK to sign copies of his book beginning Sunday 11th October, where hundreds of eager readers will turn up in their dressing gowns - like the series' protagonist Arthur Dent - to hear a live reading of the eagerly-awaited book from the new author himself at the Southbank Centre in London... So don your dressing gown and make your way down there!
In the clip below, Colfer discusses the Hitchhiker's phenomenon, as well as the pressure to make 'And Another Thing...' as funny, and as enjoyable, as its predecessors.

			<title>Watching The Whale Warriors</title>

			<description>
				At a time in which we're too often called upon to think about our own security, it can be all too easy to forget that there are other vitally important causes that require our attention just as much. One man who's never forgotten this and never will is Captain Paul Watson, founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a radical environmental organisation. After nearly forty years, his passionate commitment to eliminating the practices of whaling, poaching, shark farming and the destruction of marine habitat.

Captain Paul Watson was a co-founder of Greenpeace in the early '70s. Midway through the decade he broke away and formed the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, driven by the belief that a much tougher approach was needed to effectively combat whalers and other violators of ocean law. Every winter since then, he and his group of volunteers have engaged in a campaign to hunt down and stop Japanese ships from killing whales in the name of research. Called activists and heroes by some, eco-pirates by others, their work is dangerous, controversial and has garnered huge media interest worldwide.

Whale Wars, a new documentary series beginning on the Discovery Channel on Monday 27th April charts the latest endeavours of the team aboard the Steve Irwin. A heady mix of ecological education and nail-biting adventure, there's every cause to watch it.

			<title>Be a Happy Joe</title>

			<description>
				It seems we all get a little down at times, but there is one cheeky chappy who always manages to see the brighter side of life. Former Eastender and 'I am Celebrity...' winner Joe Swash seems to have optimism running through him - but he isn't the only cheerful person out there. A recent survey by The National Lottery, has found that we are a nation of sunny people - three quarters of us see ourselves as being generally optimistic and nearly six out of ten felt that optimism could be contagious.

Joe certainly needed to keep his spirits up in the jungle as he reveals in this video.

			<title>Lord of The Rink Goes Underwater</title>

			<description>
				After coming runner-up on the X-Factor in 2006 - it's fair to say that Ray Quinn has become somewhat of a national celebrity. With a number one album of Rat Pack covers, a national solo tour, and a West End debut, the 20 year-old Scouser has recently added 'skating star' to his list of accolades after being crowed champion of this year's Dancing On Ice.

Not content with being a champion on dry land, the 'Lord of The Rink' recently swapped his skates for a pair of flippers as he went swimming with other rays in a bid to encourage families to get closer to sea life.

The Dancing On Ice star launched a new pirate-themed aquarium Sharkbait Reef by SEA LIFE at the Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire. The aquarium, which features a walk-through 10m-ocean tank tunnel, boasts over 300 spectacular species of fish, including sharks, rays, nemos and seahorses. Featuring the UK's only tropical interactive pool, families are able to get touchy feely with the underwater life.

We caught up with Ray to tell us all the gossip on becoming a skating star as the Dancing On Ice tour takes to the road...

			<title>George Sampson Pulls Off His Best Move Yet</title>

			<description>
				After winning Britain's Got Talent last May, it's fair to say that George Sampson has become somewhat of a national celebrity. Since dancing his way to the top of TV's biggest talent show and winning a prestigious slot on the Royal Variety Performance, he's also starred in a hit West End musical, had a top 30 single, and released his own dance DVD. It's no surprise the 15-year-old is these days constantly surrounded by a screaming female fanbase.

And now the street dance star has pulled off his best move yet. George will be hosting Alton Towers' Family Dance Weekend on the 7th and 14th March - with the aim of sparking a dance craze amongst parents and children across the nation.

We caught up with George to check out his coolest moves and hear all the goss on his new celebrity lifestyle - including partying with Paris Hilton!

As part of a series of family-themed weekends, George Sampson will be holding street dance workshops at the Alton Towers Resort on the 7th March 2009 and 14th March 2009. Bookings must be made in advance, for more information visit: www.altontowers.com

			<itunes:duration>00:02:48</itunes:duration>

			<itunes:summary>After winning Britain's Got Talent last May, it's fair to say that George Sampson has become somewhat of a national celebrity.

Bookings must be made in advance, for more information visit: www.altontowers.com</itunes:summary>

			<title>Get the X-mas Factor with Sinitta</title>

			<description>
				With X Factor increasingly making the headlines as we get closer to the final everyone has an opinion on who they want to walk away with the big prize. And Sinitta is no exception. However, in spite of being best mate's with Simon Cowell there's no guarantee she'll get her Xmas wish... One thing she is in control of this festive season though is ensuring the X is in her family's Xmas.

A recent survey by Electronic Arts has found that buying presents for your loved ones is no laughing matter, with 47.6% of people finding themselves under increasing pressure to find the 'perfect' present. Despite her fame, Sinitta is no different and knows exactly what a pain buying Christmas presents for the family can be. So to combat this, Sinitta has joined forces with the EA Christmas Tour, based at major shopping centres up and down the country, to make sure no one receives a rubbish Christmas gift this year.

So what game will she be buying for Simon Cowell?

If you think that you could do with a quick brush up on your karaoke technique, Nicki Chapman of Popstars and Pop Idol fame is here to share her top tips on giving a winning performance.

			<title>Rock out with rock legends </title>

			<description>
				It's a pretty unimaginative kid who hasn't dreamed of him or herself living the full-tilt rock 'n' roll lifestyle at some point or another. Of course, if you happen to be Simon Neil and James Johnston, you don't have to dream about it. You just live it.

As two thirds of fantastically superb rock juggernaut Biffy Clyro, the lads have been laying down the rock, tearing up the road and taking their pleasures where they find them for years. Now they've taken time out from their jam-packed schedule of touring the world and general musical monsterisation to answer questions about themselves and the band and show off their skills on Guitar Hero - World Tour.

Yep, it turns out that Biffy Clyro like nothing better than to unwind after an adrenaline-fuelled show with a console game. It seems they just can't get enough of being in a band and after a show like to carrying on rocking it out, with the latest instalment in the game. What could be more apt for these Scots?

Take a gander at our exclusive video interview with Simon and James as they reveal the real-life secrets of a successful rock band's life on the road and demonstrate the stupidly large amount of fun they're able to squeeze out of GHWT.

			<title>Can you feel the Force?</title>

			<description>
				The Star Wars saga has gripped millions of fans across the galaxy for more than thirty years, and now a new video game entitled Star Wars: The Force Unleashed promises to expand its epic scope by bridging the gap between episodes 3 and 4 of the film.

Natalie Cox stars as Juno Eclipse in the game, and also plays the part of its narrator. But now she's taking time out from skirmishing in the inky blackness of space to host our video feature all about this innovative new foray into the mythos of the Jedi and the Empire.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed features amazing, never-before seen technology designed especially for the new generation of consoles. With realistic, responsive environments and a 'behavioural simulation' feature that allows in-game characters to behave and react like real people, it makes for a gaming experience that's truly like no other.

Join Natalie as she takes you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the game and offers insights into the newly uncovered secret history of Darth Vader and his Jedi-hunting apprentice. She'll also be lifting the veil from some of the never-before told stories of key movie characters who also appear in the game. Have fun, and may the Force be with you!

				<media:keywords>Star Wars, Force Unleashed, PS3, XBox 360</media:keywords>

				<media:text>The Star Wars saga has gripped millions of fans across the galaxy for more than thirty years, and now a new video game entitled Star Wars: The Force Unleashed promises to expand its epic scope by bridging the gap between episodes 3 and 4 of the film.

			<title>Can Man beat the beasts?</title>

			<description>
				We humans might think we're the most advanced species on Earth, but judging from the evidence on show in Animal Planet's spectacular new wildlife adventure series In Too Deep, maybe it's time we thought again.

We've got the technology to survive in extreme situations and even put a man on the moon, but how do our natural talents measure up to the amazing skills of the inhabitants of the animal kingdom? That's the beastly question that adrenaline junkie presenter Jamie Crawford goes all out to answer in In Too Deep.

Naturalist Jamie Crawford looks at the wonders of evolution and tries to emulate them using stunts and ingenious devices. In an effort to match the cartwheeling spider's ability to cartwheel across the desert sand dunes at an astonishing 44 revolutions per second Jamie attempted his own downhill run strapped into a device made out of inflatable car inner tubes - showing us visually how impressive the spider's abilities are.

That's just one course from the feast of beastly feats to be served up throughout the duration of the series. In Too Deep is on Animal Planet every Sunday at 8pm. In the meantime, click here for a special video preview of the show, and let Jamie himself give you the full rundown on the treats he has in store.

			<title>Getting to know...Guillemots</title>

			<description>
				With months of touring, a new album and the start of the festival season ahead, indie darlings the Guillemots are hardly strangers to the rock 'n' roll lifestyle. The success of their first album 'Through the Window Pane' catapulted them into the spotlight and since then they've never looked back.

Taking a well-needed break from their current tour, we caught up with, the multi-national and multi-instrumental quartet for an insight into the band behind the music - how do they feel about supporting REM this year and if they could build the ultimate 'supergroup,' who would they choose? Check out this video interview to hear it all from the guys themselves and how they spend their time during the long hours on tour, from mammoth sessions on EA's Rock Band to bird watching!

			<title>Video trailers set to revolutionise book buying</title>

			<description>
				We've all sat in the cinema, munching our popcorn while watching movie trailers that showcase all the latest blockbusters. The back of book blurb has been the traditional method of capturing the imagination of readers...until now. The launch of the first ever book trailers are set to change the industry for good and bring books to life before they are even published. This new trend hopes to attract a new audience to reading who wouldn't otherwise have heard of the author.

Three up and coming student directors from the National Film and Television School (NFTS) have been selected by a panel of judges, to produce a 90 second film based on three forthcoming books.

Chamoun Issa was chosen to adapt Small World by Matt Beaumont into a mere 90 second film. You can watch exclusive clips from his trailer in this brand new video, which also includes interviews with the two main men. Chamoun explains how he responded to the challenge and Matt explains how excited he was with this new interpretation of his work.

The short films were premiered at the Book Video Awards on Thursday 28th February 2008. They can all be watched at www.play.com

			<title>Star-studded spectacular</title>

			<description>
				After the immense cinematic success of fantasy epic Stardust comes the eagerly awaited DVD release. The fairytale that won't behave, Stardust has it all - wicked witches, magical spells, daring sword fights, a dose of black comedy and an amazing cast that includes the likes of Robert DeNiro and the stunning Michelle Pfeiffer. The list doesn't stop there however as alongside Charlie Cox, who plays the unlikely hero who falls in love with a falling star, the film also boasts stellar performances from Ricky Gervais, Sienna Miller and Claire Danes to name but a few.

To mark the occasion, we thought we'd get director Matthew Vaughn to tell all about the making of this star-studded classic. So why not click below and find out how Robert DeNiro felt about cross dressing, why Vaughn chose an unknown for his leading character and just how much make-up it takes to make Michelle Pfeiffer look ugly!

			<itunes:duration>00:00:03</itunes:duration>

			<itunes:summary>After the immense cinematic success of fantasy epic Stardust comes the eagerly awaited DVD release.

			<title>TV's Phill Jupitus sounds off on music </title>

			<description>
				Renowned DJ and regular Buzzcocker, Phill Jupitus is here to talk about his favourite subject, music. From his disbelief at attending a Rolling Stones concert to hesitating over new technologies, Phill takes us through his passion that is shared by millions.

Music has become an integral part of our world, it almost feels that there is a perpetual soundtrack to our lives. New research shows that the music we listen to very much reflects what mood we are in and is even linked with events in our lives. Country music for example is the music we listen to most during a break-up, RnB is our genre of choice when things get a little bit intimate and classical tracks are the most popular backdrop when we require quiet time for working and studying.

The research, carried out by Vodafone for the launch of its new MusicStation service, also revealed that the majority of us soppy Brits swapped mix tapes in our younger years. Even today, eight out of 10 would still like to share those carefully crafted romantic playlists with someone special.

That said, more than 80% admit we don&#146;t regularly indulge in sounds outside of our musical comfort zone. Cost is one of the main reasons we&#146;re not tempted to experiment with different genres and artists, although recommendations by friends and critics can encourage us to try something new.

				With regulation from the September Gambling Act looming over our poker clubs, the last gasp of smoke disappearing from UK leisure venues and alcohol duty continuing to rise, the living room is taking on a new significance as a safe environment to don a visor, spark a Cohiba and improve your poker. Now World Poker Tour, the company that ignited global poker culture a few years ago on TV is launching its online version (www.worldpokertour.com) to bring the cult TV show to life, with countless online poker games including Texas Hold'em, Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Blackjack.
