How To Build A Wormery

Do you ever feel like your garden could be greener? Many of us have made our houses more eco-friendly but lack the knowledge to make our lawns, borders and hedges grow in a more sustainable manner. Yet there are many simple and effective steps we can take to make our gardens more environmentally sound such as using a watering can instead of a hose, installing a waterbutt to collect rain water, making our own compost or creating a wormery.

Worm composting is a method of recycling food and garden waste into a rich, dark, soil conditioner. Not only is it a low-cost way of keeping your garden in tip-top condition without the use of chemicals, it's also a great way of keeping those trips to the tip to a minimum.
